2018년 4월 1일, EU는 브롬화난연제 등 총 13종 물질의 수출을 금지하는 유해화학물질 수출입에 관한 규정 개정*을 시행하였음

수출 금지 대상 7종 물질은 사전통보 승인절차에 관한 로테르담 협약(PIC)* 부속서 V Part1(수출 금지 대상 잔류성

유기오염물질 목록)에 등재되어 있으며 주요 내용은 아래와 같음

○ 재활용 소재로 제조된 제품의 경우 중량대비 0.1% 이상 4종의 보롬화난연제(tetra-, penta-, hexa- and heptabromodiphenyl ethers)를 함유할 경우 수출 금지

○ 수출 금지 3종 물질

- the solvent hexachlorobutadinen

- polychlorinated naphthalenes (PCN)

- the flame retardant hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD)

○ 수출 허가 대상 물질 5종 부속서 I에 추가

- 5-tert-butyl-2,4,6-trinitro-m-xylene (musk xylene)

- benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP)

- diisobutyl phthalate

- diarsenic pentaoxide

- tris (2-chloroethyl) phosphate
