2017년 10월 19일, 미국 환경보호청(EPA)은 29종 물질에 중요신규용도규칙(Significant new use rules, SNUR)을

적용한다고 발표했음

SNUR이 적용되는 29종의 물질은 기존 사전제조신고(Pre-Manufacture Notices, PMN) 대상이었으며,

독성물질관리법(Toxic Substances Control Act, TSCA)에 따라 중요한 신규 용도로 지정될 경우 해당 용도로

제조 또는 가공하는 날로부터 90일 이전에 EPA에 신고해야 함

주요 대상 물질은 아래와 같음

l   1,2,4-Benzenetricarboxylic acid, mixed decyl and octyl triesters.

l   Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (generic).

l   Propanoic, iron (2+) salt (2:1).

l   1-Butanaminium, N,N,N-tributyl-, carbonic acid (1:1) (P-16-255), 1-Butanaminium, N,N,N,-tributyl-, methyl carbonate (1:1) (P-16-256), 1-Butanaminium, N,N,N-tributyl-, ethyl carbonate (1:1) (P-16-257), 1-Butanaminium, N,N,N-tributyl-, propyl carbonate (1:1) (P-16-258), 1-Butanaminium, N,N,N-tributyl-, and

      1-methylethyl carbonate (1:1) (P-16-259)

l   Anilino substituted bis-triazinyl derivative of 4-4’-diaminostilvene-2,2’-disulfonic acid, mixed amine

   sodium salt (generic)

l   12-Hydroxystearic acid, reaction products with alkylene diacmine and alkanoic acid (generic)

l   Alkyldiene, polymer, hydroxyl terminated alkoxysilylakylcarbamate (generic)

동 규정은 2017년 12월 18일부터 효력이 발생함
