2018년 1월 8일, 미국 환경보호청(Environmental Protection Agency, EPA)은 독성화학물질관리법* 개정에 따라

화학물질 3종을 사전제조신고(PMNs) 대상에서 제외했음

*Toxic Substances Control Act(TSCA) Section 5(a)(3)(c) Determination for Premanufacture Notice (PMN)

EPA는 아래 3종의 화학물질이 지나친 위험을 끼치지 않는다고 판단하여 PMNs 대상에서 제외하였음

○    D-glucitol, 1-deoxy-1-(dimethylamino)-

○    Alkyl alkenoic acid, alkyl ester, polymer with alkyl alkenoate, dialkyl alkanediol, substituted carbomonocycle,

     disubstituted heteromonocycle, disubstituted gerteropolycyclic, alkanediol, substituted alkyl alkyl alkenoate

     and substituted heteromonocycle, dialkyl peroxide initiated

○    Isesquioxanes, 2,4,4-trimethylpentyl, hydroxyl-terminated.

            3종 화학물질 모두 첨가제로 사용되며, 상위 2종은 페인트 및 코팅에, 마지막 화학물질은 오일, 윤활제 및 코팅제로

            사용되고 있음
