2017년 9월 1일, 호주 환경보호국(EPA)은 살충제 규정* 개정을 발표하였음
*Pesticides Regulation 2017
개정의 주요 내용은 아래와 같음
○ 특정 살충 작업(pesticide work)시, 작업자 자격 요건 명기 및 허가 조항 마련
○ 훈증제(fumigants) 목록 11종 추가
∙ 1, 3-dichloropropene
∙ chloropicrin
∙ dazomet
∙ ethanedinitrile
∙ ethyl formate
∙ ethylene oxide (except single dose canisters)
∙ metham sodium
∙ methyl bromide
∙ any product that liberates phosphine gas
∙ potassium-monomethyl dithiocarbamate
∙ sulfuryl fluoride
